  Thursday, 15 Sep 2016

What is a KMR Fellowship?
KMR Fellowships have been designed to build capacity within the fields of mobilising knowledge (that is, to support the more effective use of research knowledge), whilst simultaneously researching implementation processes and impacts. Through innovative practice and systematic study of that practice, KMR Fellows work to advance knowledge and understanding about research implementation, influence and impact.

Who is it aimed at?
The KMR Fellowship Scheme is targeted at individuals with:

  • healthcare management and/or academic experience
  • demonstrable potential to mobilise research knowledge in healthcare settings
  • demonstrable potential to contribute to the research base underpinning knowledge mobilisation activities.

Applications must be supported by organisations from both HEIs & public funded bodies.

What is funded?
NIHR KMR Fellowships are designed to buy out an individual’s salary costs, support the development of innovative knowledge mobilisation, and provide the resources necessary to undertake a research investigation of that knowledge mobilisation. Interviews will be held in Leeds on the 12th of January 2017, and successful awardees must be able to commence the fellowship on the 1st of April, 1st of May or 1st of June 2017.
