A logic model presents a picture of how your research proposal is supposed to work. Effective logic models make an explicit, often visual, statement of the activities that will bring about change and the results you expect to see for the community and its people. These models are increasingly needed as part of your funding application and it is important that researchers understand what they are and how to present one. The community tool box website has a very good explanation on logic models and how they can be used. The website also provides researchers with a check-list, examples and signposts to tools needed to create an effective logic model.
