Global Health Fund (GHR)
Aim: To support applied health research and training relevant to people living in low- and middle-income counties (ODA list).
Funding:
- Research and Innovation for Global Health Transformation (RIGHT) calls up to £10,000
- Successful stage 1 applicants can bid for an additional Proposal and Partnership Development Award of up to £10,000 to support the application development to stage 2
- Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR)
- Development Awards 3 calls for up to £100,000 over 9 months
- Commissioned up to £4M for 4 years
- Researcher-led between £2-£4M for 4 years
Process: Two-stage process. Full applications are sent for peer review and international panel assessment. The process takes 8 months.
Criteria: Applications will be judged on the following criteria:
- relevance of the proposed research to the research requirement
- impact of the proposed work
- strength of the research team
- equity of partnerships and approach to capacity building
- quality of the proposed management arrangements
- value for money
