This seminar will include a series of talks which will describe funding opportunities for research within the NHS and Social Care. There will also be an opportunity to discuss possible research projects with RDS EM Funding Advisors and Research Methodologists.
The feature talk will describe NIHR decision making processes and will report RDS staff observations of National Funding Panels in operation:
‘Looking in from the outside’ - comments about how funding panels really work.
12.30 - 1.15pm NIHR funding landscape & celebrating the NIHR@10 (examples of NIHR investment in research and impact for NHS and patients)
1.15 - 2.15pm ‘Looking in from the Outside’ - Observations on the NIHR panel’s decision making process on submitted funding applications
2.15 - 2.30pm How the RDS can support you in developing your bid for funding
2.30 - 3.00pm General Q&A’s Also Pre-booked one to one advice sessions with RDS advisors
