Who should attend? Early career researchers and researchers applying for their first NIHR grant 
What is covered? Insights into what funders are looking for and how you can address these in key sections of the application form. This includes persuading funders:

  • your question is important
  • you have the right clinical and methodological expertise in your team to answer the question
  • you have the right level of patient and public involvement
  • your Plain English Summary is …… well, plain English!

What format does it take? A mixture of presentations, examples and activities to help you apply the insights to your own application.  
The workshop focuses on the Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) as this is the first NIHR funding stream that early career researchers can apply as principal investigator to.
